Lets pretend I own a pharmaceutical company. My company sells medicines, so basically I make most of my money when people buy my medice. The more people buy the more money I make, so what will happen if people start eating healthier and exercising, they probably won't get sick as often. That means they won't buy as much medicines as before. Meaning my company will make less money. Do I really want people to be healthier? Why do you think medicines have side effects? Profits = Evil.
All presidents are puppets of the big corporations and the banks. That's why lobbyist exist so they can influence decisions made by officials in the government. The more money I have the more lobbyist I can buy to influence politicians to pass laws that will benefit my corporation, not the people.
