What Larry Silverstein said about the decision to demolish the building is
exactly what I remember happening. I don't know where this other story
about Building 7 falling by itself came from, but Building 7 was a total
loss, and resources being used to stabilize Building 7 were needed back at
the Pile. While additional people could have helped to get more property
out beforehand, that building was coming down then or later. It simply
wasn't designed to stand up to a blast wave like what hit it.
