That interview was weak (on Phil's end) and he broke his word too. He tried to get X to speak on his mom, flat out brought up his ex wife after saying he wouldn't. Then gave him harsh judgement about his addictions while not even being able to look him in the eye.
He definitely saw the Devil three times that day.
Plus its pretty obvious X has been introduced to some 12 step people/teachings.
