In my humble opinion – best engine building series on YT! 🙂 Oh, by the
way… Pete, are you working for GM? Please tell GM guys that we don't like
that Chevy quits from Europe by the end of 2015… Lots of people prefer
Chevrolet than overpriced Opel/Vauxhall.
You are great man . Please do a video in connectors wires and cables in the
car and how can we deal with them that would be very helpful as your all
interesting videos . Details details thats what we need and you have that
skill
i am loving these videos. Best build videos i've been able to find because
of how in depth you are going, and explaining everything so well. Thanks a
lot
Hey Pete I think you should do an exhaust theory video also, explaining
what gives what sounds and what performance and how it all works etc would
be great, a lot of people are after a particular sound and would love to
learn how and why what makes which sounds :D
Those push rod alignment fingers look like they would rub on the sides of
the pushrods and with that metal to metal contact eventually wear each
other. Have you seen this in the past? I understand the need to have them
with the roller rockers, but just looking at the build and everything is so
precise but then the metal on metal… and I mean at a 90 deg angle to each
other too…! Good video Pete, will be waiting on the remaining videos for
sure.
Did I miss porting and polishing in Part 6, or is that a different series?
Really liking your work! I have plans for boring/stroking my 318 and
swapping in 340 heads, headers, roller rockers, etc. Lots to learn and you
are teaching me a ton!
Your videos always point out the little things that people often leave out
in rebuild instructional articles, so thank you for that. It really gives
me confidence as I go into my 347 stroker build.
As always Pete, a phenomenal video. Makes me feel like the amateur I am
when comparing your vids to mine but you gotta learn somewhere from the
masters 😉 thumbs way up!
This is awesome i dont really have any experience working on engines but
your videos give me hope to be able to one day thank you, quick question
does it work the same way with a inline engine ? Thank you for any commets
:)
Hi Pete, im about to rebuild an engine for my vauxhall/opel rally car
(Corsa A 1600cc 16 valve). Ive never stripped or built an engine before
although i studied engineering at uni so ive got a good understanding of
the concepts. These videos of your are really helpful and i feel much more
confident now to tackle the job with a better chance of having a working,
driveable engine at the end of it. Thanks
Pete you have don't it again with every videos my confidence goes up in my
302 build. But I do have a question I didn't see a spider tray. Is it not
require if you are using roller lifters with those dog bones? I hope that
question is clear enough.
hay pete I have a 2001 ford Taurus and im going to change my head gasket
what I want to know is how can I clean the water and oil that is mixed
please help
How did you fix the oil hole that didn't match up with the gasket without
introducing foreign particles throughout the block? I would imagine a
dremel would cause iron shavings to float around?
Hi Pete, I've really enjoyed your engine building series of videos. Just
the right amount of technical info which is a hard thing to do. I've built
several engines, but I actually picked up a few new things watching your
videos.
Pete, have looked all over your site and cant find conclusion to 427 oil
drain problem .Where am missing it ?
thanks for sharing the info great video

The bolts I bought (felpro) for gm 3400 v6 did not come with lube. In that
case, do I use engine oil or dry?
It's like engine Christmas, every time youtube notifies me that Pete has
upped another video. Thanks man!
if your bolts does not have lubricant, what kind can i use??

Hi Pete, Great video as usual. However, what was the sealant used under the
guide plates and on the rocker studs. Thanks for all the GREAT info!

The best channel ever, I've learned a lot and found answers to many
questions
Thank you my friend and keep up the outstanding work
awesome video great job
Could you do a video on painting the block/heads with that paint?
No worries. I will post the check today, only made about 9 grand on the
videos so you would be happy with 10% then? Haha
Great video!
Copper plated fasteners would look neat on my next build.
It's only a pushrod 1.2L 4-pot, nothing flash! Makes a loud ticking sound
at idle
