This is illegal in the USA, which is somewhat strange. There is also no country that cuts on females that does not also cut on males.
I believe all these things are wrong to be doing to babies, even the pinprick. It should only be consenting adults, like with tattoos for example.
There are actually women who have had this done and support it being done to other young girls for all the usual reasons- cleaner, no STDs etcetc. Really of course its because they don't want to feel like what was done to them was wrong.
However, there are about 4 different types of FGM, with varying degrees of severity. The less severe remove less skin and nerves than on a male. There is a symbolic one where they prick the labia with a pin and remove only a drop of blood.
Yes sadly it is more horrific when done to a woman as it destroys the most important part – the clitoris. I would imagine this makes sex almost unenjoyable for the woman after that.
Not such a good friend then. There are Jewish groups that oppose circumcision and have an alternative Bris where they rip some cloth instead, so the religious excuse doesn't even work.
Notice how when its done to a male its 'circumcision' but when its done to a female its 'genital mutilation'. Cognitive dissonance.

The united nations released some personally infurriating conclusion that circumcision protects against HIV; wen a conny does just the same; and is no subsitute 4 a conny, wtf. nvm; here is some reliable information; as I have ptsd from HS; circumcision makes me insane instead of feeling violated. 17:35 Thanks so much for this! I used to be so afraid of the future when I was young. I was Christian and used to think that nothing would matter because rapture would happen and god would destroy the world anyway. Then I became an atheist and bought the whole global warming idea hook, line, and sinker without really looking at the evidence. Now I'm so much happier about my future because I believe that the fate of the planet is at the calling of how hard I'm willing to work to improve it 🙂
You TOTALLY have a point re: global warming predictions. Many factors influence this including climate science is REALLY difficult. However, the electromagnetic absorption bands of molecules is VERY well understood so should we not at least err on the side of caution? Also the people on the list without permission is the Climate Change DENIAL list.

When you said evolution could be wrong in lots of ways. I was hoping you would follow it with: BUT IT HASNT BEEN FOUND WRONG. While there are lots of ways climate change could be shows to be different to expected, and problems have emerged in the different theories proposing it.
I was considering joining the local libertarian party to raise awareness. Considering I live in the UK where the state is god and the word Anarchy equates to madness murder and mayhem it would be quite fun to use some of the logical arguments you teach in a debate with other traditional candidates, be good to meet some like minded people too. However I don't want to see myself as being not part of the solution like you concluded around 9 mins in. What to do? =/
I hate circumcision too. It is an act of violence plain and simple, just like abortion. I don't know why Jews and Muslims hide behind the justification of tradition to mask evil.
