The last and final in this series on building our new music room. Paul shows us how the bass bump is eliminated, what’s in the system, how it works and finis…
I remember seeing an Audio Video Interiors magazine back in the early 90's
which showed Fabio's home theater. He had these for the front AND rear
channels! It was easily a million dollar home theater. I'd love to see that
article again. Thanks for sharing these videos, these speakers are truly
impressive looking, maybe one day I'll have the opportunity to hear them.
Hi Paul,
Nice video,I would be a proud man like you if i had a setup like that.I
have a very nice system myself that cost a lot but worth every penny.
If you haven't already please listen to my personal "Ultimate Auditioning
Song" on your IRS system.
30 years, whenever i would visit a store selling good audiophile equipment
this song was what i listened to. Pink Floyd "Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast"
off of Atom Heart Mother with the Rice Crispies,Radio playing,Plane
flying,Faucet dripping Etc,Etc.
All sorts of wonderful Pink Floyd greatness. Please when you get a second
listen to this song and tell me how it was,i bet the detail will be
incredible.Take care, would love to visit you sometime.
OMG!!! Very impressive sir. Were you an acoustic engineer? No matter.
I'd pay you to let me listen to "Starless and Bible Black" on that unit.
Wow. Just wow.
Amazing system. Enjoy. If you like acoustic guitar music, you must listen
to Phil Keaggy's Beyond Nature. It is amazing. I don't have a system like
that. I use headphones because I can afford descent pair and a headphone
amp and get great tone from the money I have. I put on my headphones and
melt away to this album. Check it out. Thanks for the videos. I enjoyed
them.
Beautiful dipoles and woofer towers. Am very disappointed that you did not
audition them for us! Your points about speaker placement and sitting
position are good. Why are you not using proper bass traps. Did you try
locating multiple subs around the room to flatten the bass response?
i'm just curious, how much this system cost?
Play some dubstep or dnb on it

How low does those woofers go?
I get the feeling this guy really likes to hear himself talk.
Holy shit man! What have you done??? Lol that is just mental hi fi
freakery!
Thank god you have a wider choice of music you play rather than sum simple
acoustic music
Amazing! Seems like it was truly a labor of love. Great job. Congrats!
Thx Paul fore the work you put in the video's.
Mate, I would consider some diffusion on that back wall with those bi
directional mids…
I rememeber seeing these advertised on the back of Hi-fi news and record
review,crazy then and crazy now
holy crap you are insane but nice setup love it

I'd figure you'd had a MacKintosh tube amps.
Really too extreme for me
Give some bass pap.
You can get Acoustic Field's low frequency absorption technology put inside
the walls. They have really good RAL curves.
Great work! Thank you for sharing.
Hubert – Germany
can you say how much the speakers cost? and the amps running them. cheers
mate

Great videos and honestly, I wish I lived close by and could listen to
these.
great system, and i'm a huge fan of sufficient radiating surface! could you
tell me the crossover frequencies?
WOAH! Now that's a stereo!
If you want to see how he did it; you can find parts 1-6 on YouTube at Paul
Mcgowan's channel.
Building a new Music Room Part 7
I would love to come bye and experience this system but I would not be even
granted a visa to enter US before I reach Colorado
I think audio quality should be better
Bla… Bla… Bla….. Let the music play!!!
what is the brand of your chair
H O L Y Shitaki mushrooms batman. What kind of mortgage on those
speaker buildings? What no built in bottle opener?
Are thouse ribbor tweeters or ESL electrostatic loudspeakers??
i wish i had money to get something like that :(

Supper speaker's Paul; I have the RS-1b's driven by a couple of aragon
2004's.

It's just all so geeky and uncool…..I love it!
Finally a guy testing out his music room with decent music! 🙂 Seems
like a room size set of balanced full-size headphones built for three.
first 8 seconds, I knew I loved you.
why not just use dsp for eq ing
Thanks Paul :)
They're beautiful….great job
Great system but I would rather have a 180 foot yacht. lol
