You can also purchase an adapter that plugs directly into a PCI-e port on your motherboard if that would be better for you.

Damn I just need to drop a comment to you guys if you still read these (which you don't, who has the time) or to anyone coming across these videos like I was just a few weeks ago, wondering if building a computer is even possible for someone with zero experience. I just got my rig running today and it NEVER would have happened without this series!! Paul you give amazing advice, which is something I struggled to find searching google and youtube. Freaking dreams came true today thank you guys!!!

SOME HELP PLEASE?

Mines says
"Windows cannot be installed on this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed to GPT disks." It won't let me click on "New" and nothing happens when I format it as well.

I have a GIGABYTE GA-Z87X-OC and a Seagate Barracuda 2TB all brand new.
if your laptop was pre built, then it is probably an OEM license. that means that the product key associated with your copy of windows can only be used on the computer it first installed on. OEM licenses are bound to the first motherboard that they're installed on. you can reinstall windows multiple times on that same computer (given there are no motherboard replacements), but not on any other computer. so unfortunately you're going to have to buy a new copy of windows for your new computer. :(

You can burn the copy you have on your laptop onto a CD and use that in the new PC
I'm trying out this one myself now

I might be incorrect, try looking up Windows 7 digital river downloads
You mean download it then burn it to a disc? That's the same thing man. Microsoft doesn't offer downloads for that OS anymore, that I'm aware of.
