Maybe the towers were built with explosives in place just in case anything happened & they had to bring the towers down? It would be an excellent safety precaution as if the towers are going to come down maybe it's safer they come down in a controlled manner to minimise damage to surrounding businesses, homes etc. and people on the ground.
