I remember this guy in later performances but I don't remember this one.
This is so awesome for several reasons. Kind of bittersweet. I'm such a
sap. I admit I got teary watching it.
This would have been one to see…I was 9 yrs old when this happened and I
remember my grandmother seeing on the news and telling me about it. Of
course I had no idea of what the 'world trade center towers' were, sadly
they became such a target nearly 30 years later.
Yeah, right. So, they timed the demolition exactly with two planes hitting
the freaking buildings? Right near where the towers once stood is the
Brooklyn Bridge. Could I interest you in buying it? Apparently, you'll
believe anything. BTW, Petit got his equipment into the buildings because
they were still under construction and he and his friends dressed as
construction workers.
There is a good documentary about this on Netflix called man on wire. Wait
til you see the part about the cops trying kill him when they got him down.
Pussy cops, not the well spoken officer in the video, vs one of gutsiest
men of all time.
Hey you criminal, removing your comments again ? In this video you can see
a frenchman with exceptional qualities, of course your jealous as you can
do nothing, not even keepin a twoofer channel running.
Keep your warped view of reality to yourself please, your disgusting
attempt to turn both horrible events and beautiful moments into hollywood
movies may be tasteful to you but are disgusting to many who accept reality
for what it is.

9/11
"When I see a beautiful place to put my wire, I couldn't resist." –
Philippe Petit after tight rope walking between the World Trade Center
towers.
When I think about being fully alive, I think about Philippe Petit. He was
only 24 years old when he did this.
He was of course arrested and his "sentence" was to do a free show for
children in Central Park. I wish I had been one of them for whom he
performed!
Cheating the Impossible: by Wire-Walker Philippe Petit. An unorthodox way
of life.
SAME PLACE, MANY YEARS BEFORE 9/11 http://socks-studio.com/2011/09/11/same-place-man…
Crazy!!!!
I had forgotten just how amazing this was
The astonishing high wire performance between the towers of the World Trade
Center in 1974.

lol when he sees a beautiful place to put his wire he cant resist, me
either buddy.
Fair play to him. I would be shitting myself if I was standing on the edge
at the top if those building's. I am in awe.
god…thats crazy..i bet he cant do it again

100000000000000000 Suns.
les français sont des idiots comme d'hab
Imagine if he was doing this in 2001 and the planes came.
@weedissafer bohoo. lol
Haha, his sentence is to perform for children XD
sentence for trespassing = have to do a free show for kids in central park
🙂 boy he got off easy ! what a courageous man Mr Petit.
Yes, if I were a journalist, I'd love to track down and interview Sgt.
Charles Daniels about this.

revolving door

Read his book "To Reach The Clouds" – it is poetry and much better than the
"Man on Wire" documentary of a couple of years ago.
Incredible!
back when people were more laid back
