We already have an energy resource that can solve our problems. It is called as the photonuclear process as opposed to the fission process. The photonuclear process directly converts natural radioactivity caused by natural radioactive decay of natural uranium ore into electricity safely wtout nuclear wastes. Fission is complicated & expensive & was chosen for it can produce weapons grade fissionable materials, not the photonuclear process w/c can not produce weapons grade fissionables.
