But what I dont understand, Obama appointed Summers, VOLCKER, and Rubin on these committees, and they seem all dedicated to a strong dollar. (Didn't Rubin engineer this in the Clinton years?) But did they become worthless? What is Obama doing to try to raise the dollar? Even so, the dollar is rising, and I don't get it — how is this happening? — just becoz Japan and Europe diving is buoying us up? It's confusing. But Summers gives me some hope if he really is for a strong dollar.
