It’s very easy to leave freemasonry at any level, you stop paying dues, or
you just don’t go anymore. People will call to ask why but other than that
no one stops you from leaving….mafia? I don’t think so. And Scottish Rite
freemasonry is a separate organization from Craft/Blue lodge Freemasonry.
It’s not all centralized. I’m a 32 degree and I lecture and teach 33rd
degree guys on symbolism and esoteric secrets….so even 33rd degree guys
are ignorant….whatever corruption exists is isolated to the few who abuse
the privileges of any long reaching organization
