To actually witness the area go from smoldering ruins on 9/11 to this magnificent building is very emotional. Working right near Ground Zero, in those first few months I longed for a new WTC building(s) to be built there. The site and surrounding area made me so depressed that I wondered if it would ever happen. And here we are today, the top of the spire and America flag making the journey up to the top.

No, go stand in front of the landmark WOOLWORTH tower nearby-THAT's a work of art with a soul, and breathtaking, the WTC is a box of glass with no soul.

Stand in front of the new 1 WTC and tell me it's not beautiful. It is breathtaking, especially when the sun glints off of it and you can see the reflection of clouds in it. I took a photo where the spire of St. Paul's Chapel (from 1776) is reflected in the building – amazing! I suspect, just like the first WTC, I'll never tire of seeing it. I guess you've never been to Manhattan. It's filled with architectural masterpieces, not only "glass boxes."
