  2. Well 9/11 familys want the twin towers back because that's what they lost, building a an update version of the world trade center in sted of rebuilding the twin towers shows that amarica is giving up and moving on to something elts now that is not a good idea if we rebuild the twin towers stronger and safer that will show that we will never give up because freedom tower Is not giving us anough freedom that we need.

  3. You have a good point about that and that absolutely makes perfect sense. And If they rebuild the Twin Tower and that would absolutely be a bad idea. Because If they rebuilt a replica of the original World Trade Twin Towers then it would bring back the terrorist by taking it down again. And it would although convince those people to never work their ever again.

  5. Don't forget that further more that the owner of the property has the right to build what he/she wants and all can vote if they want the old World Trade Center or the new World Trade Center. Of course instead of north and south tower we do east and west towers. Of course I have no problem with both designs. Just make up your minds.

  6. i agree with you , but I think I'm the only one who takes seriously the official version. I wonder … if controlled WTC were demolished as they say in loose change, then what about planes full of passengers? but passengers dead relatives? but filming and documenting black boxes what happened on each flight step by step? I wonder just thinking so I'm curious.

  7. With all due respect to those who died, I've always wondered how the new complex would look with the old twin towers standing where they were; Imagine how much it would dominate the NYC skyline then!

Complete nonsense. You have no conception of what those twin towers meant to N.Y. Some things have a defining aspect to them, an almost mystical significance. They were the defining piece of this city and N.Y lost its charm without them. Disrespecting the people who lost family? Sorry to be blunt but those people need to be side stepped immediately. Their short 70yr lives should not be allowed to affect the rebuilding of the true Manhattan skyline. This is bigger than them.

  10. the zionist Larry Silverstein made billions off the deaths of thousands of people ….he even put in his lease from the Port Authority to have the right to rebuild the complex if it got destroyed by terrorist

  11. One reason they didn't rebuild the original towers is the type of design. The core wasn't protected by concrete and it was small to allow trememdous floor space on each floor so some of the load of the building was put on the outerwalls with floor trusses keeping the outerwall & the inner core tight. This building is built much stronger & thus is suppose to be harder to destroy if attacked. But the Titanic's sister Britanic was built to be harder to sink but sank faster when it struck a mine.

  12. I agree too they should have rebuilt the towers as they were, but at the same time everyone would be reminded of that day instead of being an icon to the skyline. Give it at least a decade and im sure we will grow used to this one, it will be seen in movies again, music videos etc. and we will recognize this new tower and say "hey that's in NYC" like we did with the original towers. I've already seen the new tower in a few commercials too.

  13. Many say we should have rebuilt the Twins, even I am a culprit of this. But let me just say if we did we would still have an empty feeling in our hearts even more so for the victims families, it would also haunt America and the world for that matter of that dark day. SO instead we are given a shining, resembling, lone phoenix, that reaches for the sky as a replacement. 1 WTC is gorgeous and when 2, and 3 are finished trust me the world will recognize The WORLD TRADE CENTER once more.Mark my wrd

  14. Believe it or not when the original World Trade Center complex was built the same critiques were made. Many felt the Twins looked like the boxes that the ESB and Chrysler came in. Many felt the complex was constricting and out of place in downtown, and for the first decade the WTC was a ghost lot with no tenants. 1 WTC will grow with NYC and NYC will grow with 1 WTC it will become just as iconic as the Twins trust me. If anything 1 WTC signifies a modernization/digitalization of NYC and rebirth.

  15. I see and hear so many people say that oh why don't we just rebuild the twin towers. That's stupid because if we rebuild the twin towers we would disrespect the people that died with them because we can't bring them back. And if we did people who lost family to 9/11 would see them and say great but you can't bring back my family. The new World Trade Center shows we are different and stronger and updated than we were back then. I've watch this tower grow and it's amazing.

  16. Faces change. Cities change. If you try to bring back the past you just end up disrespecting those who died in the 9/11 attacks. New York may have its fair share of sleeziness, but ultimately it is a city of class. These buildings reflect that.

  17. My friend, you are obviously not from New York. LIFE itself is a war. We live on a savage planet. America is no perfect nation. It is still a beacon, however. We ALL lost on 9/11. We ALL lose when humanity turns to violence. The 20th century proved that PEACE and BRAINPOWER win. Let's just take a step back, think for a moment, and move on. It IS possible. We have brains and hearts. We are all capable of good and evil. Let's just focus on doing good. May sound naive, but this is wisdom.

  18. Mayor Gullioni (Or however you spell it) said that should terrorists or someone else ever change the face of this great city (New York) then they have won. And looks like the face of NYC has been changed.

  19. Well there is another building in the works if they can find the tenants. It will rise right next to the current tower and will be nearly as high, though quite different in style. The finished project will be quite exquisite. The original twin towers can never be replaced. I think it would be a bit disrespectful and a bit boring if they tried to do so. One world trader center is going to be the safest and most environmentally sound complex in the world. The twin towers are gone. But NY won.

  20. The New York skyline is classic. Many cities can rival it, but none can out rise it. It is a fusion of old and new. It is imposing and intimidating. It is full of promise. I have never seen it in person but it is number one on my bucket list. Long live New York. Oh, and….nice…..I’m fifth!
