One other point, you basic argument seems to boil down to this: “The democratic process has not led to a soceity and/or state as I personally think it should be, therefore democracy is flawed and should be tossed out so that society will become as I personally think it should be.” So, basically you’re a politburo of one, society should function how YOU think it should function and to hell with the others in that society.

2/2 If you’ve had enough of democracy then you’ll need to find your own alternative. The rest of society isn’t obligated to hand you your fantasy on a plate because you want it. So your other alternative is to leave that society (you are not forced to live in it) and find or create what you want elsewhere. Get together with other like minded people and attempt to create it elsewhere. You won’t do that of course. Creating it from the fround up is hard work. Harder than whinning on the net.
1/2 All societies have some sorm of governance – even tribal societies. It's you who is dreaming of a utopia that's never existed & never will. As for roads the US once had some private turnpikes. Never turned a profit, operated in the red for most of their existence. In the end they couldn't compete when the railroads came along and went under. Roads are expensive to build & maintain. A for profit road would be too costly for most to afford to use. Public roads are a bargain for the majority.

No, I've had enough of democracy. It's an utopia and will never work, just like the egalitarian principles like communism. The ONLY way to have freedom and happiness is by means of a "night watchman state". Go read on wikipedia if you don't know it. Eliminate government and all political crap completely, courts and police remain to protect the people's liberties with a constitution, not violate them. Roads can be built privately, WAY better in fact, than with some bureaucrat moron interfering.
One major flaw, if not the BIGGEST flaw of democracy, perhaps even its Achilles heel: People will vote according to their beliefs/knowledge. Now with the mass media dumbing down everybody, democracy effectively becomes fascism. And don't tell me the media doesn't do that. They do, more than any of us can imagine. If just 40% of America knew what the Patriot Act says there would have been a second Civil War by now. Or, at least half of all Congress members would have been shot or hanged.
Our governments aren't any different. We just keep telling ourselves that we have "democracies" when there is NOTHING democratic about it. No matter what puppet you vote in, the puppet masters keep pulling the strings. If you do occasionally read the news from independent sources you will notice politicians keep making decisions against the will of the populace. Yes, I use those things ("roads, schools, parks") and know they are paid for with taxes. I also know socialists LOVE to mention these things, but the issue is, less than 10% of spending in most industrial nations is needed to cover them. At least 90% of taxes are being used to pay crooked politicians, bail out corporations and banks, foreign aid, wars, organized crime, dismantling of civil liberties, etc. WHICH I DO NOT APPROVE OF AND NEVER WILL.

That said, Sweden and Norway are overrated. Their crime rates have been steadily increasing in the past decades. Their citizens aren't allowed to defend themselves against criminals. Nice standard of living.

I agree with what you say about military spending – Eisenhower warned about that. If you are as bad off as you say, then you would have no tax liability. How does a "borderline" homeless person have a computer, internet and electricity?
Most third world countries have autocratic governments, there are no democratic processes by which the people themselves have the ability to influence or determine what type of society they wish to have. How uncomfortable is your life? As uncomfortable as a child laborer in Bangladesh? As uncomfortable as someone in a New Delhi slum? Western Euro countries also have superior health care – paid for with taxes.
I'm all for ending the wars & ending ill advised military adventurism. But income tax will still be needed to pay for those things we all benefit from: public roads, parks, fire & police services, emergency services, etc. The income tax rate in the US is very low compared to many other countries, you could try one of them out for perspective.

My dad's parents saved their ration booklets from that time. Sugar, milk, butter, etc. all rationed. How much you could buy each month depended upon the number of people in your family. It's interesting to look at them now. I'm glad they saved them.
