Aspartame NutraSweet – 60 Minutes News Segment – December 29, 1996.flv.flv

Infowars.com, Prisonplanet.com….Diet Coke fans, don’t mean to spoil your day but your drinking poison. Notice how almost every soft drink contains an artificial sweetner? It’s not there by accident. From GMO foods to blaming E. Coli on organic foods the American public is being dumbed down and drugged up.

  1. Monsanto told us Agent Orange was safe. They told us PCB’s were safe. They
told us DDT was safe. NOW they want us to trust them with anything else of
theirs? Be it GMO, aspartame or whatever the case may be……? Uhhhhh….
:/ No other company or person with that kind of track record would be
trusted again and again. They in fact told the national news once that
“RoundUp (glyphosate) was so safe you could drink it.”! Yet you never seen
their CEO or board members doing that on national TV to prove it. Why?
    (obviously)

Aspartame is safe. Some history . The United States didn’t approve it
first. Canada did. Canada approved it in 1981. Then Europe and then the
United States. The FDA had nothing to do with it’s approval in other
countries. And not one single person has sued anyone in court and proven
they suffered from using it. That is a fact. Many Drug companies have been
sued successfully because people have proven they suffered harm from a
drug, but nobody has ever proven that any health problems were caused by
    Aspartame.

  3. This answers some questions for me. My neighbors consume diet Coke
instead of water all day long. They just removed one of his kidneys and
the top of his bladder. for cancer. A ligament in his arm just detached
(bones dissolving from carbonation??). And now he is diagnosed with an
incurable deteriorating disease involving his nerves (suspicious)!! I have
told them for years how diet drinks and carbonated drinks are unhealthy.

  4. I should’ve worded it less ambiguously. I didn’t mean to group salt as not
having health benefits (as other additives like many colorings), but meant
to point out that it has adverse health effects. Nobody needs a salt
shaker. You get your requirement from general foods. And no. In science you
don’t take one or two experiments that have adverse results and instantly
claim “IT’S DANGEROUS”. You review the entire body of research, not
selectively pick the vast minority which suit your argument.

  5. Wow that decieved lying woman needed to drink plenty till she has no brain
left to speak. 2 books to read Aspartame is it safe? written by a doctor.
Also sweet poison. Amazing how they lie. Caused sever anxiety also. Donald
Rumsfeld pushed it though. Imagine all the poor little babies being
neurologically impaired . Woe unto the evil ppl who poison our foods.

  6. Errr, nobody claimed it did. Nobody is saying aspartame is healthy and that
we should drink it by the bottle. By all means, drink water! All that’s
being stated is that the claims that aspartame is somehow massively
dangerous are unsupported. There are many, many food additives that we use
that have no health benefits (or even known adverse health effects like
salt that almost all of us have wayyyyy to much of in our diet), yet I
don’t see throngs of people looking to ban those.

  7. Nutrasweet has things in it that you eat already. “Nancy Markle”, started
the chain email letters about it saying it was a conspiracy with the FDA.
Totally false. For the record I’ve used it for over 20 years. I just ran
the Boston Marathon this year . Ran the Disney Marathon this year. I’m in
excellent condition. My doctor said it’s safe.

  8. As they should! Well stated! I’m an advocate for cutting out all chemical
substances as such…if you don’t have symptoms now, how are you so sure
they were be late to arise? Also everyone should check out the documentary
“Sweet Misery”…eye opening!!! My mom was recently urged to quit her diet
soda by her doctor as she development a thyroid disorder; the soda cut out
of her diet prevented her from craving other sweets and helped her to get
some energy back and lose 30 lbs. Natural = healthiest

  9. 1996 60 minutes segment that was reasonably unbiased in it let the FDA, an
more importantly, science, have the last word. Good thing, too, since it’s
now 17 years later and there continues to be nothing of merit (other than a
lot of people huffing and puffing, guessing, asserting and assuming) to
contradict the statement the FDA guy said at the end, or to regard
aspartame as anything but safe for consumption.

  10. There’s an answer to this. Move out of the country, apply to citizenship to
another country. And milk the US dry of it’s funding source. The rich
politicians and life politicians will freak out with the huge number of
people leaving the country, the market falling away, and the tax income
disappearing, sell everything they have in stocks and move out of the
country and abandon the nation. At which point, the government will instantly
be better and more logical and we can all come back and live happy

  11. There are a lot of unsafe substances on the market that claim to be safe to
some extent but arent. Aspartame messed with my brain drinking it as a kid
and I had chronic headaches due to consumption of diet soda. When I learned
how terrible the chemical was in 1997 I quit age 12 & the headaches
instantly stopped. That’s the way doctors test bad substances and how they
react with your body. If you stop a substance and you start to feel better
you know there was something wrong with that substance

It’s safe. The proof it’s still on the market. xylitol is safe also but it
can kill your pets if they eat it. My doctor is very health conscious and
said it’s very safe. Much better then sugar. It’s just a myth about
    nutrasweet.
