  1. Feels sad watching all those movies that had the Twin Towers in them. Now that the Twin Towers were destroyed, it's hard to look at it. Remembering all those innocent people that died. Breaks my heart watching movies with the Twin Towers in them. I know that when I watched Friday the 13th Part 8: Jason takes Manhattan, the Twin Towers stood nice and proud in the opening credits. Now that their gone, it breaks my heart to look at them standing that many years ago.

It pissed me off around 2001-2002 when films using twin tower footage must 'rework' or even omit that shit out of 'sensitivity' issues or whatever else excuse. That's BULLSHIT. Keep the buildings there, goddamn it. You filmed it, it was THERE, it's a part of the art you're trying to make. Yeah it was destroyed and shit but you're gonna pussy out and just DISMISS them? Acting like it's too scary to even see? What the fuck is wrong with these people.

  3. Ok for those that think America did not want to rebuild the towers, your thinking wrong. The towers worked up to a price tag of 400 million each in the 1970's, now seeing as everything is more expensive it would cost around 6.2 BILLION dollars to rebuild both towers since the freedom tower was 3.1 billion. I agree it would be the best idea to bring that home feeling back to new York by rebuilding the towers, but it would be impossible with such a high price tag

  4. ‘Gangs of New York’ was released in 2002 but the director said it was about those who built New York, not those who destroyed it, so he decided to keep them in. Right decision.

  5. I disagree that they should have been rebuilt exactly like before. That's basically saying nothing happened. I like the new design because it invokes the original design, but it's different. It's basically saying 9/11 happened, but we're moving forward.

  6. Those were beautiful towers. I can't forget them. I really miss them very much. They were the life of the New York City. USA should have rebuild them and give it as a gift to the New York City.

It wasn't just the twin towers that were so cool. It was the plaza, the giant sphere and the hotel between the twins. The new complex is such garbage compared to what was there originally.

  8. Brilliant! Loved it.. Wish there were more of these on here.. My favourite was the last scene in the movie Bright Lights Big City when Michael J Fox goes out to a pier with a loaf of bread and looks over the Hudson skyline at dawn and you can see the beautiful twin towers glistening off the early sun…

  9. I do think the same way the "Titanic" became an event that touched the hearts of many people around the world through the years in the twentieth century and even now, in the same way the twin towers will become the icon of this twenty-first century that our generation will remember forever and even future generations. They are both related, by tragedy and the lost of many inocents people. My sincere condolences to all those people who lost their lives for no reason.

  10. Very well done, thenk you. I live in England and have never yet visited New York. I've always wanted to go for exactly this reason. I think the reason I think about the that day a lot is beacuse it was the first real disaster I can remember from my adult life. I'll still get to New York one day, and I will visit the new tower and pay my respects.

What a brilliant idea for a video! Shows them in a new way also until they weren't there you don't realise how much they were used in film. Loved it!!

  13. I'd just like to add that although I have never visited new york, the towers on camera almost seem to have appear as if they are 'alive' and have their own character. it's hard to explain, anyone who has seen the towers, am I making sense? were they like that in real life?

  14. also you know the lights in place of the towers at the end? well has new york ever considered lighting up holograms of the towers at night? don't you reckon that would look awesome?!
