Webisode from a Tripletail fishing trip off the coast of Jekyll Island, Georgia. Filmed on our 22ft Mako about 1/2 mile offshore. Light tackle game fish – VE…
Hi Mark: This is Charlie Marshall up in Beaufort these days. I'm just
relaxing and enjoying your vids. I remember fishing with you and your dad
when you were a little boy over by the old wooden Sea Island bridge and
trolling for trout in Village Creek. Say hello to Dee for me. I still com
to the island to see my 85 yr. old mama and I fish with Jaybird whenever
I'm down. There are no size or slot limits on those Eddyfish up here, but
lots of them around.
Was out there today messing around with one of Captain Marks associates. We
didn't have the tackle to catch these but did see three in an hours time
just floating there like the video describes. I'm going back asap with the
right stuff.
Good for you being out on the water. I really think that early May is the
best time to get them. The shrimp boats dragging back and forth on Jekyll
get alot of them and spook the rest. I was out a few weeks back for a GA
DNR tagging program and 10 or so boats managed to catch about 23 fish in
total.
Very well thought out comment ~ take it some other place ok
Great video! Thanks for posting.
No, they are a regular scaled fish that move back and forth to Florida

How long are these fish around the area? June, July, & August?

pretty typical for them to start showing up in front of Jekyll in May and
then hang around until mid to late August in the back rivers.
