Went to Jekyll Island and did some beach filming. I really did try to stay away from people and be out of their way. If you watch you can tell I’m doing what…
@theufgadget Yeah I have no idea what happened with him but he looked pretty upset at something. As you can see his hat flies maybe 4-5 feet from him so you can get a scale of how far away I actually was from him. Keep in mind that I'm using a wide-angle lens. I was probably 15-20 feet away from him. I don't know if I scared him or he's anti-drones or what happened but I always try to stay away from people when I'm aware of them.
Amazing place, the beaches are amazing to fly on for sure. I need to start doing some more high flying so people can really see what is there etc. It's slow and quiet there so it's a nice place to go and relax and ride bikes. We were searching for their "Island treasures" so it was neat to able to look from the air.
IM GOING TO BE USING MY DJI F550 FOR SEARCH AND RESCUE SOON. FINDING PEOPLE IS THE NAME OF THE GAME BUT YES ITS GOOD TO RESPECT PEOPLES PERSONAL SPACE LAST THING WE NEED IS TO HAVE OUR TOYS BANNED .
DONT STRESS ABOUT THE NOISE DIFERENT CAMERAS GIVE DIFERENT SOUND QUALITY USING A DIRECTIONAL MONO MIC WILL HELP OR JUST EDIT SOME MUSIC ONTO YOU VIDEO PROBLEM SOLVED.
NICE SMOTH FLIGHT BY THE WAY LOOKS LIKE A NICE PLACE TO FLY ILL SUBSCRIBE TO YOU AND KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR WORK. SAFE FLYING MATE
The noise is really bad, you have 6 electric motors whining away. You could put a directional mic on there and put a cone around it and then get decent audio. I'd mount it below the multicopter so reduce the noise. Keep in mind that the audio is mono also so no stereo mics. If you wanted you could probably add a noise cancellation system that would work very well, it would be expensive though. Probably the best way is to land, shutdown and then listen and film..you can do that no issues.
It was simply amazing flying there. We were met with warm reception from the people there as well. The only application I need is to be able to fly freely and uninhibited, work is too much work. Your videos are very artistic and well done, is that your work?

Is de noise really so heavy? Can it be reduced for wild-life observation?
I wish, I could join you for a few days. You should brain storm for more applications.
